Calm Seas Psychotherapy specializes in providing compassionate and evidence-based mental health services for military personnel, law enforcement officers, first responders, and their families. Our practice is committed to supporting those who serve our communities through tailored therapeutic interventions and a collaborative, client-centered approach.We are seeking a highly organized and dedicated Intake Coordinator to join our team. This essential role is integral to ensuring clients receive the best possible care while adhering to the established procedures and policies of our practice.Key Responsibilities:Intake Management:Perform intake interviews, assessments, and placement of new clients into our practice.Oversee and coordinate intake schedules for new clients.Facilitate seamless client placements onto clinicians’ calendars based on their unique needs and therapy goals.Client Placement:Match clients seeking couples counseling with appropriate therapists and coordinate with individual therapists and couples counselors as needed.Assign clients to relevant group therapies offered by the practice, such as trauma recovery or substance abuse support groups.Specialized Focus:Work specifically with military personnel, law enforcement officers, first responders, and their families to ensure their unique needs are addressed.Administrative Duties:Conduct regular chart audits to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with practice standards.Review payment authorizations to ensure that they are within the specified timelines.Perform reassessments of client progress to optimize therapeutic outcomes and inform treatment planning.Compliance and Procedures:Follow established procedures and policies within the practice without deviation.Serve as a self-starter who takes initiative in managing responsibilities and maintaining the practice’s high standards of care.Qualifications:Must hold or be eligible for LMSW licensure in New York State.A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a mental health or related setting.Experience working with military, law enforcement, and/or first responder populations is highly preferred.Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage complex schedules and placements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, clinicians, and team members.Familiarity with chart auditing and reassessment processes is a plus.Why Join Our Team?Be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to serving those who serve our communities.Collaborate with a team of skilled therapists and staff in a supportive and dynamic environment.Opportunities for professional growth and ongoing training in trauma-focused care and related areas.Competitive compensation and benefits package, including sick, vacation, and holiday pay. 401k match and yearly profit sharing.
