We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a fully on-site clinical role—no telehealth component.
Position Summary:
The Senior Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will be responsible for providing psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning for patients in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. This is a fully in-person position—no telehealth or remote work is available—and inpatient psychiatric experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments
Lead or co-lead multidisciplinary team rounds in inpatient settings
Provide follow-up care and medication management in outpatient clinics
Supervise or mentor junior clinicians or NPs as appropriate
Assist with care coordination, discharge planning, and referrals
Participate in program development, quality initiatives, and clinical innovation
Qualifications:
Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
Ideally, 5 years of psychiatric clinical hospital experience, (inpatient experience mandatory)
Valid and unrestricted state NP license and DEA registration
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and medication management skills
Experience with high-acuity or complex psychiatric cases preferred
Team-oriented, with excellent communication and leadership skills
