We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a fully on-site clinical role—no telehealth component.


Position Summary:

The Senior Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will be responsible for providing psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning for patients in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. This is a fully in-person positionno telehealth or remote work is available—and inpatient psychiatric experience is required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning

  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications

  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments

  • Lead or co-lead multidisciplinary team rounds in inpatient settings

  • Provide follow-up care and medication management in outpatient clinics

  • Supervise or mentor junior clinicians or NPs as appropriate

  • Assist with care coordination, discharge planning, and referrals

  • Participate in program development, quality initiatives, and clinical innovation


Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)

  • Ideally, 5 years of psychiatric clinical hospital experience, (inpatient experience mandatory)

  • Valid and unrestricted state NP license and DEA registration

  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and medication management skills

  • Experience with high-acuity or complex psychiatric cases preferred

  • Team-oriented, with excellent communication and leadership skills
