About Job

The School of Education, Health, and Human Services prepares students for successful entry into their profession. We focus on an ethical approach to human well-being and encourage critical thinking and practical application. The Counselor Education Program works to educate persons to become professional counselors and educators through a combination of theoretical and applied approaches. This position is expected to begin Fall 2023 and will include a full-time teaching load of core and specialization courses in the CACREP-accredited graduate programs within Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Service to the department and university is also expected. As SUNY Plattsburgh is an institution that delivers challenging and high-quality educational experiences to a diverse group of learners, the successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity, inclusion, and equity-minded policies, programs, and practices. The successful candidate may be asked to teach courses in a distance learning format.
