Summary:
Seeking a licensed School Social Worker to provide vital mental health, behavioral, and academic support for K–12 students. This role involves counseling, family engagement, crisis intervention, and collaboration with educational teams. Ideal candidates are experienced in social-emotional development, intervention protocols, and community resource coordination to support diverse learners.
What You’ll Do:
• Conduct interviews, observations, and informal assessments to identify student needs
• Provide individual and group counseling to support social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with educators and specialists to design and evaluate interventions
• Serve on problem-solving and MTSS/RTI teams to implement early supports
• Connect families to community resources and support systems
• Complete IEP documentation, progress reports, and intervention data collection
• Facilitate school-wide initiatives to promote safe and inclusive environments
Experience You’ll Need:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field (MSW preferred)
• Valid Michigan Social Work license or eligibility for school social work credential
• Experience with individual/group counseling and school-based interventions
• Strong verbal/written skills, and ability to engage with families and diverse populations
• Familiarity with MTSS/RTI frameworks, crisis support, and community service linkage
