Job Title: Social Worker
Location: Lewiston, ME
Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $50.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide mental health counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, groups, and families.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on various topics including crisis management and coping strategies.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for patients.
• Support individuals with disabilities by implementing tailored interventions that promote independence and well-being.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with ICD-10 standards.
• Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in social work.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW or equivalent).
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Proficiency in mental health counseling techniques, including individual and group therapy.
• Strong knowledge of patient assessment methodologies and treatment planning.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for mental health diagnoses is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to manage crises effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
