Job Title: Social Worker
Location: Lewiston, ME
Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $50.00/hr

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Provide mental health counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, groups, and families.
Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on various topics including crisis management and coping strategies.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for patients.
Support individuals with disabilities by implementing tailored interventions that promote independence and well-being.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with ICD-10 standards.
Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in social work.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW or equivalent).
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
Proficiency in mental health counseling techniques, including individual and group therapy.
Strong knowledge of patient assessment methodologies and treatment planning.
Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for mental health diagnoses is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to manage crises effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
