Addictions Counselor for PHP, IOP, MAT Programs

Shifts from 5am-12pm or 8-4pm, or 9am-5pm

Primary Job Function:

The Drug & Alcohol Counselor provides counseling services to patient with substance use disorders through the use of interventions, treatment, rehabilitation, and support to promote long-term stability along with medication assisted treatment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Be able to successfully create a positive atmosphere and a safe place for open discussion for patients recovering from drug and alcohol addiction
• Have experience with group facilitation with drug and alcohol abuse patients
• Maintain accurate and updated EMR records
• Respond, as needed, to client grievances and treatment concerns
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications | Certifications:

• Maryland Certification: ADT; CSC-AD; CAC-AD
• Previous experience working with substance abuse individuals preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward patient
