Summary of Responsibilities
- Tutors will double as mentors in support of students in the program; this includes tutoring skills such as time management, exam-studying techniques, goal setting, etc. 2.
- Tutors will offer their own expertise and experience in relevant classes & subject areas to help SSS Students succeed in coursework and adjust to/deal with college life.
- Tutors are expected to be enthusiastic and well-informed of university resources & events to better connect with and mentor their assigned clients.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
- Must be a current UVU student registered for six credits or more (Fall & Spring)
- Must be able to attend Mandatory 2-Day Staff Training on August 14 & 15th, 2025 (in person).
- Spanish Speaking Ability
- Competency in using Microsoft Teams
- Some experience tutoring in math/science/ or English
