Position Start Date: August 25, 2025

Required Degree: MS in Educational Technology, Computer Science, Web Development or a related field.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

The Instructional Psychology & Technology Department in the McKay School of Education is hiring an adjunct professor to teach an intermediate e-Learning development course. The purpose of this course is to help instructional designers learn how to code tools to create interactive course content through computer programming. Duties will include the following:

  • Planning and delivering 90-minute lessons twice per week (both online and in-person);
  • Grading students’ programming assignments;
  • Teaching 3 credits (one course) in Fall semester, 2025

Qualified applicants will demonstrate the following:

  • Working, up-to-date knowledge of JavaScript, python, xAPI, LTI, and JSON, and relational databases
  • Ability to code interactive solutions to learning challenges using modern programming techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • University-level teaching experience;
  • Experience teaching both online and in-person;
  • Experience developing instructional products
  • Experience with front-end development
  • Experience working on an instructional development team
