Job Opportunity: Psychology Assistant with ARC Voyagers in Columbus, OH

Location: 2780 Airport Dr. Suite 450, Columbus, Oh 43219

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (flexible)

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions/Job Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments (cognitive, personality, motivational) and evaluations using a variety of tools and methods.
  • Prepare detailed evaluation reports, treatment plans, progress notes, and documentation for diverse audiences in compliance with Ohio Psychology Board regulations.
  • Provide individual and group counseling, psychotherapy, and psychological interventions under supervision.
  • Offer family and caregiver training, consultation, and counseling to support treatment goals.
  • Conduct home visits and observe psychosocial and environmental factors to support mental health in natural settings.
  • Maintain a caseload of up to 20 clients, coordinating follow-up care and ensuring continuity of services.
  • Collaborate with caregivers, home providers, and a multidisciplinary trauma-informed team.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of behavior management programs.
  • Participate actively in service planning, team meetings, case reviews, referral evaluations, and in-service staff training.
  • Conduct formal presentations and contribute to professional development initiatives.
  • Engage in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of agency policies, procedures, and programming objectives.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology (required).
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and staff.
  • Demonstrates excellent judgment, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and general computer use.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development and maintaining a current knowledge base.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Possess and maintain a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and meet insurability standards for company driving.
