Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health care to clients in an outpatient setting, utilizing evidence-based practices and a client-centered approach. You will work collaboratively with individuals and groups to address various mental health challenges, including grief, behavioral issues, and personal development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support clients in their mental health journey.
  • Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis techniques as appropriate to enhance client outcomes.
  • Provide direct support to clients, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with ICD-9 standards and clinic policies.
  • Engage in research activities to stay updated on best practices in counseling and mental health care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans for patients.
  • Facilitate grief counseling sessions for individuals coping with loss and trauma.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective care.

Experience

  • A Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field is required.
  • Active state licensure as a Professional Counselor is mandatory.
  • Experience in outpatient settings preferred, with a focus on individual and group counseling techniques.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation processes and ICD-9 coding is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in direct patient care is essential, demonstrating the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies related to mental health practices is a plus.
