Resident Care Manager (LPN or RN)
Full-Time | Hourly Rate: $50.00 – $57.00 (Based on Experience)

Tacoma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and dependable LPN or RN Resident Care Manager to join our team full-time. This leadership role is critical in supporting our nursing staff, ensuring clinical excellence, and fostering a collaborative, resident-centered care environment.
Position Summary:
The Nurse Manager is responsible for daily oversight of resident care on their assigned unit, including rounds, documentation review, coaching staff, and responding to emergent needs. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical skills, team leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced skilled nursing setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct daily rounds to monitor resident condition and staff performance.
Provide coaching and/or counseling to staff as needed.
Review documentation for accuracy, compliance, and care quality.
Assist with emergencies, changes in condition, and communication with physicians.
Participate in care conferences and quarterly reviews.
Ensure weights are obtained per policy and follow up with appropriate referrals.
Participate in weekly wound rounds and assist with related documentation.
Take part in monthly psychotropic reviews and follow up on team recommendations.
Track consultant recommendations and ensure documentation is completed.
Assist with resident admissions and discharges.
Investigate incident reports using root cause analysis (5 Whys) and implement corrective actions.
Step in as a floor nurse when needed in staffing emergencies.
Participate in on-call rotation (approximately every 5 weeks).
Job Requirements:
Active LPN or RN license in good standing in the state of Washington.
Current CPR certification.
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
Case management or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and support team members.
Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and remain organized.
Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
Schedule:
Full-Time | 8-Hour Shifts
Monday through Friday
On-call rotation
Weekends and holidays as needed
