Position Overview:
- Title: Resident Service Coordinator
- Location: Denver, CO 80212 & 80221
- Property Information: 1 affordable rental housing senior community (80212) and 2 affordable rental housing family communities (80221)
- Starting Salary: $24-26 per hour
- Schedule: Full Time (40 hrs./wk.)
- Work Location: Onsite (Not Remote)

Position Goals and Objectives: As a Resident Service Coordinator at MJ Housing & Services, you will play a pivotal role in helping residents stay in safe and affordable housing for as long as possible. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Creating intakes, assessment, and referral services for seniors and adults with disabilities.
- Offering ongoing case management to individuals in need of support to connect with and utilize existing community resources.
- Developing and implementing individual service plans for residents requiring ongoing case management.
- Establish and maintain community partners.
- Organize a minimum of 1 education and 2 social events monthly.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential documentation on all clients served.
- Serving as an advocate for residents to ensure they receive all eligible services.
- Collaborating with the quality assurance staff to meet program outcome measures.
- Providing monthly input for written reports and attending quality assurance team meetings.
Team and Collaborative Dynamics:
- Report to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Lead Service Coordinator.
- Opportunities for in-person collaboration, including meetings with the SoCal team six times per year and an annual in-person MJ Retreat.
- Possibility to become a mentor after 6 months of employment.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in gerontology, social work, or related field. Equivalent social service experience will not be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in social service delivery
- Working knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws related to elderly and disabled programs
- Understanding of the physical, mental, and social changes associated with elderly and disabled populations
- Demonstrated working knowledge of supportive services available in the local community
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office required
- Case-management software experience preferred
