What You Bring To SBHG (qualifications)
- High School Diploma required.
- At least 1 year of experience providing substance use prevention and treatment services.
- Registered Alcohol/Drug Technician (must complete the certification program within the required timeframe); OR
- Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC)
- Valid California Driver's License

This position is responsible for providing individual, group and collateral counseling and other
supportive services which are appropriate to the participant’s recovery process. Facilitates various education and awareness workshops on topics appropriate to recovery. Assists clients in recovery and discharge planning.
Division/Program Overview
- The program sees adults (18+) and older adults.
- It is a FULLY community-based program - all services happen at a person's home or community.
- The clients have complex needs - medication, housing, vocational, independent living and mental health.
- The intensity for services for each client is about 10 hours per month and once we are fully up and running, we'll have a census of about 50 adults.
- We are preparing to also start an Adult Outpatient Program which this position would oversee as well. Eventually, this position will have all our Adult programs, including IHOT.
