Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Neuropsychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of psychological principles and practices, with a focus on patient assessment and clinical research. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, to provide effective mental health support and treatment. The Psychologist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide therapy and counseling services to patients, including children, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Engage in clinical research to contribute to the advancement of psychological practices.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to psychological health.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Neuropsychology with post-residency experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy as it relates to psychological health.
- Experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and clinical research methodologies.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
