Job Overview:
We are seeking a fun, creative, dedicated, compassionate, flexible Behavior Technician to join our great team. The Behavior Technician will work with individuals, particularly those with autism, to implement behavior plans and provide support in various settings.
Duties:
- Implement behavior plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Work directly with individuals to teach and reinforce positive behaviors
- Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors
- Collect and record data on individual progress and behavior
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure effective implementation of care plans
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans
- Document medical information accurately using medical terminology
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality
- Proficiency in data collection and record keeping/admin tasks
- Background in special education or related field is a plus
- Bilingual is a plus (Arabic, Aramaic or Spanish, other)
- Able to work between 10:00-7:00 PM for a minimum of 10 hours a week.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred but not required
