Salary Range: $37,541 - $44,800 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

Under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist the Intern will be providing: Psychotherapy (individual, couple/family, group) and other forms of psychological support to UCCS students; providing clinical supervision to Wellness Center Mental Health Services (WCMHS) trainees; providing campus-wide psychoeducation/outreach sessions on various relevant topics; and carrying out risk assessments and crisis interventions in person, and providing consultation opportunities for the other units and individuals on campus. The following professional fields are relevant to position: Clinical Psychology student enrolled in a doctoral program, completed all course work and has approval from the program Director of Clinical Training to start the minimum of 12-month and/or the 1,700-clinical hour predoctoral internship. The Intern has to have also gone through the national APPIC placement system, which provides a standardized placement protocol for the matching of the Intern with the internship site.
Essential Functions
This position provides both clinical and non-clinical services. Clinical services entail clinical psychology and counseling services to UCCS students, whose personal/emotional life are interfering with their ability to perform academically. The aforementioned direct clinical services include:

- Provide psychotherapy services in individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy formats. Whenever clinically necessary, making appropriate referrals to on- and off-campus services and being available to contribute to case consultations with these agencies and professionals.
- Provide psychological and neuropsychological assessments to assist our UCCS students with educational accommodations and clinical diagnostic information.
- When requested, assist WCMHS Director and the WCMHS Director of Clinical Training in developing and implementing data collection strategies to keep track of various service data to help with billing of non-Wellness Center units/agencies and help analyze the collected data to be able to inform service decisions based on outcomes information.
- Responding to psychological crisis/emergency calls to the WCMHS; be available to make assessments; and carry out crisis/emergency interventions.
- Participate in all the clinical, didactic trainings, seminars, consultations and trainings.
- Attend to all meetings that are related to position’s responsibilities.
- Partake in the WCMHS staff’s efforts to organize and coordinate campus-wide education and prevention programs and assist in efforts to address the developmental needs of the campus.
- Provide educational presentations on mental health topics for the UCCS students/staff/faculty.
- Priority will be given to applications submitted by: 7/4/2025.
