Job Summary: Functions as a case manager for an assigned caseload of adults with chemical dependency disorders and their families. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting, developing and/or applying the treatment/service plan and facilitating compliance. Serves as a member of appropriate interdisciplinary treatment team. Reports to the Coordinator of A&D Services.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Dependency, Psychology, Social Work or a related field required; previous experience in a chemical dependency treatment or mental health setting preferred. Previous experience working with substance abusers is highly desirable. A Provisional Certification through the Department of Mental Health (PCCSS) must acquire and documentation presented to Human Resources within 90 days from hire date and (CCSS) is obtained within 2 years from the date the date of hire. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Good communication skills are necessary. Must have valid driver’s license in Mississippi and proof of auto insurance. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
