Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry (PMHNP), Addiction Medicine, or Neurology to join our telemedicine team on a per diem (PRN) basis. The ideal candidate will be eligible to prescribe Schedule II controlled substances via telehealth and hold active DEA registration with Schedule II authority in both California and Oklahoma.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide telehealth (audio-video) consultations to patients located in California and Oklahoma.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and ongoing follow-up visits.
  • Prescribe and manage Schedule II controlled substances when clinically appropriate and in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain clear, timely charting in our cloud-based EHR (Elation).
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic, patient-centered care.
  • Stay up to date with evolving DEA and state laws regarding controlled substance prescribing via telemedicine.

Requirements:

  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in ONE of the following specialties:
  • Psychiatry (PMHNP)
  • Addiction Medicine
  • Neurology
  • Eligible and willing to prescribe Schedule II controlled substances via telemedicine (must qualify for advanced DEA telemedicine registration when available).
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in both California and Oklahoma.
  • Valid DEA registration with Schedule II authority in both California and Oklahoma.
  • Prior telemedicine experience preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems (Elation a plus).
  • Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused communication skills.

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Pay is based on the number of patients seen. Typically, you will be scheduled to see up to 10 patients per day, Monday through Friday. (Specific per-patient rates to be discussed during the interview process.)
  • Per diem (PRN), flexible scheduling.
