About Job
Now Hiring: Licensed Play Therapist (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW)
Help Kids Heal Through Play—Without the Burden of Marketing or Admin Work
Are you a compassionate therapist who loves working with children and families? Do you want to spend more time in the playroom—and less time chasing referrals or doing billing? The WELD Group is looking for a fully licensed mental health professional to join our warm, team-based private practice and focus on what you do best: helping kids thrive.
Why This Role Stands Out
Consistent Demand for Play Therapy
We receive 10+ referrals weekly, many from families actively seeking play therapy. Most therapists build a full caseload within 2 months.
Financial Security During Onboarding
Enjoy baseline compensation as you grow your caseload—we want you focused on care, not cash flow.
RPT Training Available (Free!)
We offer support and training for clinicians pursuing their Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential.
Collaborative Clinical Environment
Join a team of kind, competent professionals who meet regularly for case consults and peer support. Access to a Clinical Director is built in.
Mission-Driven Practice
We serve a broad community of clients—including many underserved populations—and operate with values rooted in integrity, faith, and impact. (All belief backgrounds welcome.)
What You’ll Do
- Provide therapy to children ages 3–13 using play therapy techniques (75% or more of your caseload).
- Optionally see some teens and adults.
- Maintain accurate clinical notes using Jane App (EHR).
- Engage in team meetings, trainings, and consult groups.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful group culture.
This Might Be a Great Fit If You...
- Are a fully licensed LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Texas
- Are trained in play therapy or currently pursuing your RPT
- Are passionate about working with kids and families
- Can commit to 20–25+ client sessions weekly
- Are open to seeing clients evenings or weekends (high demand hours)
- Want to grow within a supportive, collaborative group practice
- Are eligible for insurance credentialing through Headway or similar panels
Perks & Pay
- Compensation range: $95K–$125K annually (1099 contractor)
- Dedicated office space for full-time caseloads
- Full admin support—no claims, billing, or verification headaches
- Free CEUs and professional development events
- Strong, values-driven community of clinicians
