About Job

We are hiring for a Mental Health Counselor that will provide social work services to clients and their families, counsels and provides crisis intervention for clients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems. You will coach clients by providing therapy to help patients make positive behavior changes.

Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:

Complete client intake and any assessments needed or requested by the referral source
Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan
Provide therapy and counseling to individuals, families and groups.
Provide domestic violence counseling to individuals, families, and groups on how domestic violence affects families and themselves.
Uphold communication between referral source and BPW Care team as it pertains to client case
Respond to client crisis and/or needs
Be present for team meetings and court for clients
Be present for supervisory and company meetings
Record notes per session and create monthly reports in company medical record system

Sample Technical Competencies:

Knowledge of diagnostic impressions or criteria
Knowledge of how to work with domestic violence children and victims
Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
Knowledge of individual and group therapy techniques

Required Qualifications

Master's Degree of Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or any other equitable Master's degree in behavioral sciences.
Indiana Licensed Social Worker (LSW), LCSW, LMHCA, LMHC, LMFTA, LMFT (At least one certification is Preferred)
Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral

Preferred Qualifications

Two years of experience in a directly related field.
