Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families through effective support and advocacy. This role involves working with diverse populations, providing essential services in areas such as child welfare, addiction counseling, and crisis intervention. The Social Worker will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and coordinating resources to facilitate positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and strengths.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans tailored to each client's situation.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in distress.
  • Facilitate access to community resources, including Section 8 housing assistance and Medicare services.
  • Offer counseling services related to addiction, mental health, and family dynamics.
  • Supervise case management staff and interns as needed.
  • Engage in motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients toward self-sufficiency.
  • Collaborate with other professionals in the field of child welfare and workforce development to ensure holistic support for clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in compliance with agency policies.

Experience

  • A degree in Social Work or a related field is required; licensure.
  • Experience in supervising staff or interns is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs and Medicare regulations is a plus.
  • Proven experience in social work settings, particularly in child welfare or addiction counseling.
  • Strong skills in crisis intervention and motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Background in childcare or workforce development is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective client interaction.
