The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine
is seeking a Faculty Geriatric Psychiatrist to provide care for elderly patients, including those with dementia, depression, and other age-related conditions in our psychiatry department in Tyler, TX.


Your Work:

  1. Provide psychiatric care for elderly patients in inpatient (10-bed) and residential (30-bed) settings.
  2. Manage medications and develop holistic care plans with a multidisciplinary team.
  3. Supervise and mentor psychiatry residents.
  4. Lead case conferences and contribute to complex geriatric cases.
  5. Participate in a shared on-call rotation.
  6. Option for fully inpatient or a 50/50 inpatient/outpatient role.
  7. EMR: Epic.
