Job Title: School Psychologist

Location: Norfolk & Virginia Beach, VA Area

Job Type: Full-Time 37.50 hours a week

Pay: Competitive based on experience and credentials


Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team serving schools in the Norfolk & Virginia Beach, VA area. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to supporting student mental health, academic achievement, and positive behavioral development through assessment, consultation, and intervention services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological and educational evaluations to determine student needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP and 504 plan development
  • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management support
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators on academic and behavioral interventions
  • Support the implementation of evidence-based programs and interventions
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid Virginia licensure or certification as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
  • Previous school-based experience preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
