Leidos is actively seeking licensed behavioral health professionals to join our Adult Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support U.S. military service members and their families as they navigate important military life transitions while serving our country. The role of the Adult Military and Family Life Counselor (Adult-MFLC) allows you to provide invaluable non-medical support, including counseling, consultation, and outreach, to service members and their families. This role focuses on preventive non-medical counseling, addressing issues proactively before they evolve into larger challenges.
Our Military families encounter unique emotional and environmental stressors due to the demands of military life. This position provides you with the chance to connect with them directly, offering support when it is most needed.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Personalized face-to-face counseling for military service members and their families, including individuals, couples, and families.
- Active involvement in activities with service members and military families; providing guidance and support while modeling effective behavior management techniques.
- Deliver informative presentations at military-connect events for service members, families, and leadership.
- Encourage creativity and positivity using approved materials.
- Establish rapport with families by participating in installation and community events.
- Assist families with transitional adjustments to new schools and homes.
- Engage in regular in-service training and other assigned contract activities.
- Provide insights regarding trends and issues at the assigned installation to Team Leads.

Additional Job Duties May Include:
- Responding to emergent situations within any location on a military installation.
- Navigating long distances to various indoor and outdoor locations, including uneven terrain.
- Traveling off base to diverse physical environments.
- Complying with site-specific requirements to work at designated military locations.
Work Environment:
As directed by the Department of Defense, duties will be performed in multiple settings: approximately 60% indoors within the military installation, and 40% outdoors, which may require traversing uneven terrain and exposure to varying weather conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
- Independent practice level licensure (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist) in any U.S. state.
- U.S. citizenship with an active passport valid for at least six months after the assignment ends.
- Ability to pass a basic employment background check and obtain a Child National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance, also known as a Public Trust clearance.
Pay Range: $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
