SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, provides direct counseling services to patients.

SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, provides direct counseling services to patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Provides individual counseling and treatment/recovery plan preparation, monitoring and review
- Provide therapeutic interactions to foster patient’s social, cognitive, and behavioral skill development
- Provide psychosocial interventions to teach skills for coping with urges, craving, impulsive behavior and cognitive distortions in thinking, motivational interviewing techniques
- Provide individual, group and family counseling, where appropriate
- Plan and facilitate interactions with patients within the program to build social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Prepare and maintain accurate and thorough case records
- Maintain relationships with patient referral agencies
- Complete utilization reviews in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care

REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelors Degree a plus
- Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing
- Minimum two years in a behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment program
- This job operates in an indoor office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
