Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health challenges, including those with developmental disabilities and PTSD. This role requires a professional who is skilled in crisis management, patient care, and data collection, and is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing and applied behavior analysis.
- Work collaboratively with clients to address issues related to PTSD and other mental health disorders.
- Implement crisis management strategies to support clients in acute distress.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress, treatment plans, and data collection.
- Engage with families and caregivers to provide support and education regarding mental health issues.
- Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system and connect them with appropriate resources.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly developmental disabilities.
- Strong skills in patient care, crisis management, and data collection.
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing and applied behavior analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in mental health care.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
