Turning Point Behavioral Health and HME Care is seeking a Licensed Addiction Counselor, Certified Addiction Counselor, or Addiction Counselor Trainee to join our team! You will be responsible for running residential groups and implementing effective treatment plans for clients in individual and group settings in person or virtually. Our community will offer a total of 24 rooms for residential behavioral health located in Madison, SD.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in counseling, social work, or other related fields (residential/inpatient/outpatient experience preferred)
  • Licensed as LAC, CAC, ACT, LPCC, or LICSW in the state of South Dakota.
  • Proficient in ASAM
  • Experience in conflict resolution.
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well in a team setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Counsel and advise individuals or groups with substance abuse problems.
  • Documentation and Compliance.
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans.
  • Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients.
  • Prepare progress reports and letters for relevant parties.
  • Educate families and groups on substance abuse treatments and prevention programs.
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare or counseling professionals.
  • Conduct AOD Evaluations
  • Provide direct counseling in a residential setting.
  • Conduct and submit timely paperwork.
