Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical counseling and a passion for providing quality patient care. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children and families, as well as adults with various psychological needs. The Psychologist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapy sessions in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide group therapy sessions and individual counseling to patients.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in child family counseling to support the emotional well-being of children and their families.
- Work with individuals on the autism spectrum, providing tailored therapeutic interventions.
- Participate in case management and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Stay updated on best practices in psychology and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure to practice as a psychologist.
- Experience in clinical counseling, particularly in group therapy settings.
- Familiarity with psychological testing methods and tools.
- Knowledge of geriatric psychology is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in patient care.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
