About Job

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote positive behavioral changes. The Behavior Technician will work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.

Duties

  • Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals.
  • Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
  • Assist in the development of individualized treatment strategies tailored to each client's needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to educate them on behavioral strategies and techniques.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to behavioral health.

Experience

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data collection methods and documentation practices.
  • Knowledge of special education principles and practices is a plus.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and medical records management is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in behavioral health settings or applied behavior analysis is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.02 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Choose your own hours
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
