- 8-hour shifts 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday thru Friday
- Full-Time Hours
- Up to 1-year contract with potential for extension
- Outpatient Psychiatry experience required
- 3+ years of experience preferred
- Previous Military or Government healthcare experience preferred
- Prior Locum Tenens experience preferred
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry required
- Must hold active NC state medical license
- DEA license required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- BLS certification required
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, crisis intervention, ongoing psychotherapy, and medication management.
- See an average of 10 patients per day in an outpatient setting (visit load may vary depending on session lengths).
- Collaborate with other medical professionals and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain detailed and timely electronic medical records.
- Comply with all clinical and administrative procedures as required by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy with completed internship and psychiatric residency in a U.S. ACGME-accredited program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (must become Board Certified within 2 years of hire).
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in North Carolina.
- Current DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an outpatient behavioral health setting.
- Must have BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (must provide front and back of the card).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Must meet Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements independently (non-reimbursable by the government).
