The MAT LCDC provides interventions to assist consumers with substance abuse issues, specifically related to chemical dependency assessment, intensive outpatient (individual and group), and support outpatient (individual and group). The LCDC assures services as defined on chemical dependency service plan, and the consumer is actively working toward stated objectives and the family and natural supports are involved as appropriate. The MAT LCDC solely works with those clients who are enrolled in MAT services at Metrocare to assist in safe and successful recovery.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group treatment as part of the intensive and supportive outpatient programs at Lifenet or the Bridge.
  • Possess knowledge of substance abuse issues and symptomology, DSM V diagnostic criteria and treatment methods.
  • Maintain performance benchmarks
  • Conduct CD Assessments, Service Authorization Requests, and Service Planning.
  • Accurate and timely data entry into the state system, CMBHS, including CD Assessments, Service Authorization Requests, Service Planning, Progress notes, and Psychoeducation notes.
  • Complete documentation of services provided to individuals within 24 hours of service.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Masters degree with 2 (two) years experience, OR
  • Bachelors degree with 4 (four) years experience in MH/MR or related field.
  • LCDC licensure required.

  • Ability to conduct CD assessments
  • Ability to provide CD/substance abuse intervention/prevention in group and individual settings
  • Ability to assist in CD discharge planning with consumers

  • Ability to provide Community Support Services to consumers.
  • Ability to maintain positive attitude.
  • Ability to successfully use an automated clinical record keeping system.

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate level on MS Excel, Email and word processing programs
  • Ability to utilize Internet for resources.
  • Organizational & time management abilities.
