Job Summary
Dolph Counseling & Wellness, LLC is a trauma-informed clinical private practice owned by a doctoral-led clinical counselor.

We are seeking a trauma-informed, dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor or CMHC student to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups, focusing on trauma, mental health, and emotional well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of various counseling techniques and the ability to work with all age groups. The counselor will utilize evidence-based practices to support clients in achieving their personal goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients, primarily focusing on children and families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on client assessments and therapeutic goals.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), REBT, MBCT, SFBT, Motivational Interviewing, with the interest of becoming certified in a trauma-specific modality.
  • Maintain accurate client records in compliance with ethical and state codes, as well as HIPAA regulations and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for clients with behavioral health needs.
  • Stay informed about current trends in mental health and psychopharmacology as it relates to mental health treatment.
  • Provide support for clients.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance counseling skills and knowledge of best practices.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or CT.
  • Experience in child & family counseling is preferred.
  • Familiarity with DSM-5 TR for mental health diagnoses.
  • Proven experience working with children and adolescents in a counseling setting.
  • Knowledge of a theoretical orientation and clinical techniques.
  • Experience working with individuals in a mental health setting.
  • Proficiency in Humanistic and Motivational Interviewing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology as it pertains to mental health treatment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ACA ethics and state laws and rules, and HIPAA regulations.
