  • Responsibilities include college, career, personal, and social counseling, advisement with students/parents individually and in groups on educational planning, and development/implementation of programs to meet student and parent needs.

  • Qualifications include a Masters Degree in School Counseling from an accredited college or university and a current Illinois Elementary Professional Educator License (PEL). Classroom experience is preferred.
  • The counselor provides services to address academic, personal/social, and career development needs, collaborates with problem-solving teams, and works closely with families, staff, administration, and outside agencies.
  • Assists students with post-secondary planning, including school enrollment, course selection, and scheduling.
  • Participates in activities that contribute to the counseling program and school operation, including crisis intervention and system support.
  • Engages in professional growth and performs other duties as assigned.

    Community Unit School District 200 is seeking a High School Counselor to provide comprehensive counseling services.

    Qualifications

    • Masters Degree in School Counseling
    • Current Illinois Elementary Professional Educator License (PEL); classroom experience preferred
