Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide mental health support and guidance to individuals and families, utilizing various therapeutic techniques. This role involves working in a clinical setting, where you will help clients navigate their challenges and work towards achieving their personal goals. You will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment that fosters healing and growth.

Duties

  • Conduct assessments to determine clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide mental health counseling and behavioral therapy to clients of all ages, including child family counseling.
  • Utilize techniques such as applied behavior analysis and art therapy to engage clients in the therapeutic process.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client progress in accordance with clinic policies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Offer direct support to clients during sessions, providing encouragement and guidance as needed.
  • Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to the field of counseling and mental health.
  • Incorporate Christian counseling principles when appropriate, respecting the diverse backgrounds of all clients.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of mental health counseling techniques and behavioral therapy practices.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation standards in a clinical environment.
  • Experience in child family counseling, with an understanding of developmental psychology.
  • Proficiency in applied behavior analysis methods for effective client engagement.
  • Ability to implement art therapy techniques as a form of expression for clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate medical records and treatment plans.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while providing direct support to clients.
