Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health is currently seeking a part-time Pediatric Social Worker to join our team!Location: servicing Hillsborough CountySchedule: Part-Time (20 hours per week) The specific weekdays and times to be determined. It will be between the hours of 8am-7pm (later hours are most needed).The Pediatric Services Social Worker:

Qualified Social Worker responsible for assessing and intervening regarding the needs of chronically or terminally ill children and their families.
The pediatric social worker is the primary social worker for the pediatric care programs including Hospice, Perinatal Loss, and Partners In Care.

Position Requirements:

Education and/or Experience: Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
Licensure: Requires LCSW
Strongly prefers 1 year of social work experience.
Previous experience working with seriously ill children preferred. Must be comfortable working with pediatrics.
Continuing Education: As required for licensure.
For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee’s HR file.
