Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
As a Behavior Technician:

As directed by the treatment plan:

• Provide specific one to one behavioral interventions to assist the child in developing age-appropriate responses/reactions to school, social and cultural situations.
• Aid the parent or other responsible adult in providing therapeutic structure and limits for the child.
• Provide assistance in implementing a behavioral intervention plan for the child.
• Assist in implementing alternative activities to redirect challenging behaviors.
• Maintain an assigned planned schedule that guides the use of authorized time with the child.
• Promote family problem solving skills and self-sufficiency rather than inappropriate dependency on the worker and/or services.
• Collaborate with other members of the treatment team and participate in any meetings, supervision and trainings as required.
• Collect data and document progress in a prescribed format for each and every session with the client.
• Complete and submit appropriate paperwork and documentation within required timelines.

Clearances (no older than 1 year) are required prior to employment to include: PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal Clearance, FBI clearance
