We’re currently hiring for a full-time, in-person School Social Worker, School Counselor, or School Psychologist to support specialized education programs in Lake County, IL for the 2025–2026 school year. This opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with a variety of needs in a collaborative, student-centered environment.

Caseloads will be determined based on your experience and may include Early Childhood, Autism/Structured classrooms, and/or Emotional Disabilities.

Position Details:
Position: School Social Worker, School Counselor, or School Psychologist
Location: Lake County, IL
Duration: August 2025 – June 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Caseload: Determined based on candidate experience and background

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and social-emotional support to students with behavioral, emotional, or developmental needs.

• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized support plans.

• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of compliant, student-centered IEPs and 504 plans.

• Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for services and interventions.

• Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources.

• Maintain accurate documentation and actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois PEL with one of the following endorsements:

  • School Social Worker

  • School Counselor

  • School Psychologist

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or School Psychology.

• Experience supporting students in specialized education settings preferred.

• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
