About Job

A healthcare organization in the Bronx is looking to add a licensed Addiction Psychiatrist to join their growing team.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, no weekends (option for 4 ten hour work days)
  • Hours: Standard business hours
  • Patient Population: Adults
  • Call Schedule: None

Responsibilities:

The Addiction Psychiatrist will:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operation of their Life Recovery Center outpatient program
  • Diagnose and provide direct patient care for mental health conditions and substance use disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient and provide clinical consultations to other teams if needed
  • Educate patients and their families about the nature of the mental health condition, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms and preventing relapse
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient assessments, treatment plans, progress, and any changes in medications or interventions
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice in the State of New York
  • Board Certified in Addiction Psychiatry
