Job Details: Licensed Psychiatric Technician

  • Location : Correctional Facility in Lancaster, California
  • Pay Rate $52.5 Per Hour
  • Schedule : 6 to 9 months Full Time Contract Eligible for extension
  • Mon - Fri 02:00pm - 10:30pm
  • Tues - Sat 02:00pm - 10:30pm
  • Wed - Sun 06:00am - 02:30pm
  • Thurs - Mon 06:00am - 02:30pm
  • Thurs - Mon 02:00pm - 10:30pm
  • Sat - Wed 06:00am - 02:30pm
  • Sat - Wed 02:00pm - 10:30pm
  • Sun - Thurs 02:00pm - 10:30pm

Requirements: LPT Licensed Psychiatric Technician

  • Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institution. Clinical competencies must be current
  • Valid Photo ID Driver’s License or Passport (Required)
  • Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association
  • Possess a current and valid license issued by the California State Board of LPT license (Required)

Duties/Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to: LPT Licensed Psychiatric Technician

  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for clients. Works with the service coordinator in developing service plans for the client.
  • Follows protocols regarding medication administration and treatments per physicians’ orders.
  • Notifies physicians of all incidents, changes in condition, and need for evaluation of all medications or other treatment in a timely manner.
  • Communicates clearly and directly with staff and assists them as needed in performing all aspects of their job.
  • Acts as a liaison with the physician, client, and all members of the interdisciplinary team. Completes incident reports, medication error reports, and drug reaction reports in a timely manner per protocol.
