About Joint Relief Institute (JRI):
Joint Relief Institute is a leading provider of non-surgical knee pain treatment, specializing in image-guided viscosupplementation for patients suffering from osteoarthritis. With a patient-centered approach, we aim to help individuals return to an active, pain-free life. At JRI, we believe in transforming care through compassion, technology, and accessibility.

Role Overview:
The Community Outreach Specialist at JRI is responsible for building meaningful relationships in the community, engaging individuals who may benefit from our joint pain treatment, and connecting them with care. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on face-to-face interaction, enjoys helping people, and is motivated by results.

You'll serve as the “face of JRI” at health fairs, senior centers, community events, and clinics—educating the public on our services, identifying potential patients, and helping them take the first step toward relief.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospective Patient Engagement & Scheduling

  • Represent Joint Relief Institute at local events, senior centers, and community organizations.
  • Educate community members—particularly seniors—about JRI's non-surgical treatment options.
  • Identify and engage individuals who may be experiencing joint pain and encourage them to schedule a consultation.
  • Use CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to manage leads, schedule appointments, and document outreach activity.
  • Collaborate with the JRI marketing and clinical teams to align on messaging, events, and performance goals.

Community Relationship Development

  • Build strong relationships with community leaders, event organizers, and local healthcare providers.
  • Serve as a liaison between the community and JRI to ensure a positive and informed patient journey.
  • Address questions or concerns about services and direct inquiries to appropriate JRI staff.
  • Partner with outreach managers and the marketing team to identify new event opportunities and patient outreach strategies.

Other Duties

  • Assist in setting up and breaking down booths and promotional materials at events.
  • Support marketing campaigns through flyering, local networking, and word-of-mouth promotion.
  • Represent JRI values with professionalism, compassion, and care at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Outgoing, personable, and able to connect quickly with diverse groups of people.
  • Passion for helping others improve their quality of life.
  • Experience in healthcare, sales, community outreach, or related field is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends.
  • Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the greater Chicagoland area.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs for event setup.
  • Comfortable working toward engagement and appointment-setting goals.
  • Bilingual (e.g., Spanish, Polish, Russian) a plus.

What We Offer:

  • Mission-driven work improving lives through innovative, non-invasive care.
  • Competitive pay with performance-based incentives.
  • Paid vacation and holidays.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k)
  • Training and development opportunities.
