Guided by values of efficiency, effectiveness, professionalism, and integrity, we've built a reputation as a leader in addiction recovery services.What You'll DoAs a Licensed Psychiatrist at SCAC, you will be an integral part of the treatment team, responsible for providing critical psychiatric services that support client recovery. Your key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting psychiatric assessments and completing timely written reports.
  • Prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications as appropriate.
  • Providing follow-up care, evaluating medication efficacy, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborating with medical staff, counselors, clients, and significant others to develop and coordinate personalized recovery plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with state, federal, and agency regulations.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and presenting cases as needed to ensure comprehensive client care.

  • A current active psychiatric license to practice in New Jersey
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in addiction treatment or mental health services
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • A valid driver's license
