Our company is seeking a passionate and motivated Director of Field Services to oversee local technical resources across all markets requiring onsite support. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to Field Service team members dispatched by the centralized support center when remote assistance is not sufficient. Lead and coordinate the team’s efforts in collaboration with Project Services to ensure the successful deployment and implementation of projects requiring onsite technical engagement. This position is fully on site and located in our Fairfield, NJ office.
Essential Job Duties:
- Providing leadership, coaching, and direction to field service technicians, ensuring performance standards are met
- Managing customer relationships, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Collaborating with other departments (e.g., engineering, sales) to ensure seamless field service operation
- Preparing budgets and financial reports to track performance and manage costs.
- Identifying and implementing best practices for field service operations to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Developing and implementing field service strategies and plans to align with business goals
- Overseeing on-site installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities to maximize utilization and performance
- Champion the adoption of new tools, technologies, and service models to enhance field efficiency
- Provide supervision and performance feedback to field service employees
- Analyzing field service data and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions and operational adjustments
- Oher duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and management skills to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technicians, customers, and other stakeholders
- A strong understanding of field service operations, IT Infrastructure – Systems and Networks
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- 5+ years as IT Supervisor, Manager, or Director
- 10+ years technical IT experience
- Ability to travel - 5-15%
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn; aligning business decisions with the company’s core values
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Base Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00. $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 with incentives
