POSITION: Guidance Counselor (PT) - Regional Summer High School at Bay Shore 2025ASSIGNMENT: June 16, 2025 – August 30, 2025 (Hours/Days dependent on program/student need)SITE/BUILDING: Bay Shore Middle School393 Brook AvenueBay Shore, NY 11706RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist ESBOCES Regional Summer School Administrator with registration and enrollment, review of student transcripts, scheduling questions and communication with Bay Shore students, and Consortium and Non-Consortium district contact when needed
  • Must be familiar with Infinite Campus and assist our Technology Support colleague when needed
  • Have oversight of all Bay Shore students to make sure they are registered in the correct classes and August Regents examinations
  • Check all the Bay Shore Non-Grads to make sure they are enrolled in all of the necessary classes for a potential August graduation
  • Work with any late registrants to ensure that they are correctly registered and enrolled
  • Contact all Bay Shore parents/guardians/students who have not shown-up to the Regional Summer School Program the first couple of days
  • Other responsibilities as per the Summer School Administration as there will be many students from other districts who will need assistance
  • Communicates with all staff, administrators, and parents/guardians when called upon to do so
