Now Hiring: School-Based Drug & Alcohol Counselor

Location: Armstrong County, PA (High Schools + ARC Manor – Oak Ave)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (No evenings or weekends)

Are you passionate about supporting adolescents and removing barriers to care? ARC Manor is looking for a School-Based Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Counselor to join our team and provide compassionate, accessible services to students directly within their schools.

About the Role:

This full-time position is based in four Armstrong County high schools, with one day per week spent at each site and additional time assigned where the need is greatest. You’ll offer individual counseling, conduct assessments, and help students connect with the support they need—all while building relationships with school staff and promoting awareness of substance use services.

When school is not in session, you’ll continue working from ARC Manor’s Oak Avenue location, offering group therapy and outpatient services.

Responsibilities Include:

· Conduct drug & alcohol assessments and provide outpatient counseling to high school students

· Offer early intervention and crisis support in a school-based setting

· Collaborate with school staff, families, and other providers to coordinate care

· Provide referrals to community resources and support recovery goals

· Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold ethical standards

What We’re Looking For:

· Experience working with adolescents in substance use or behavioral health settings

· Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to care

· Familiarity with evidence-based practices, including MOUD/MAUD referral pathways

· Master’s degree preferred; certification or licensure (CADC, CAADC, LSW, LCSW, LPC, etc.) is a plus

· Ability to follow school-specific policies and procedures and travel between school locations

Salary: Bachelor’s level candidates starting: $43,203

Master’s level candidates starting at: $49,000

Experience, certification, and licensure will be considered when determining salary.
