Genetic Counseling Assistant

Job Description

Overview

Assist genetic counselors with a variety of tasks including communicating with referring providers and families, facilitating genetic testing, assisting with billing investigations/prior authorization, scheduling, requesting medical records, database entry, faxing/scanning/mailing, other duties as assigned.


High School diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of clinical trials data management principles (not required) and medical terminology preferred.
  • Requires basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
