Description:

Jon Beaver Steel as a Press Brake Operator on the 2nd shift, where you'll play a critical role in shaping high-quality metal components. In this position, you will operate advanced machinery in a supportive environment, ensuring precision and excellence in every piece you produce. Your technical skills and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.


Job Responsibilities


- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and cut metal materials according to specifications.

- Interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine machine settings and material requirements.

- Inspect workpieces for accuracy and ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.

- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Adjust machine controls and change tooling as required to complete tasks efficiently.

- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or issues and report them to supervisors.

- Collaborate with team members to optimize production schedules and meet deadlines.

- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

- Maintain accurate records of production quantities and machine settings for future reference.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.


Job Requirements


- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

- Strong understanding of metal types and properties.

- Ability to set up and adjust press brake machines for various operations.

- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to lift and move heavy materials, up to 50 pounds.

- Basic math skills for calculations and measurements.

- Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements.

- Willingness to work 2nd shift hours, including potential overtime.

- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

- Ability to stand for extended periods during shift hours.
