Position Summary

The Home Community Liaison (HCL) is responsible for identifying areas of need within a student’s ecology and coordinating linkages to assure positive program effects beyond the program environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • To assure ongoing communication between the school, the student’s parents/guardians, the referring school district, and the other involved community agencies regarding the student’s progress.
  • To assure the development and implementation of appropriate beneficial behavioral health and educational programming for each student.
  • To assure appropriate discharge planning and post-program success.
  • To assure the safety of all students.
  • To promote the professional image of Pressley Ridge School in local, state, and national communities.
  • To assure appropriate documentation of program activities.

Qualifications

  • State Police; FBI clearance; child abuse clearance; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training; any additional background checks/clearances required by state governing bodies.
  • Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.

Working Conditions.

  • Physical Demands: Requires vision, speech, and hearing.
  • Environmental Factors: Community, home, school.
  • Working Hours: A non-traditional work schedule as defined by service needs.

Education

Required
  • Bachelors or better in Human Services or related field
