JPC Program Provider

Meets with youth 1 on 1 or small groups in detention centers and community settings. Focuses on reduction of delinquent behavior using educational, self-care, social skills development and re-development. May discuss topics including mental wellness, addiction, responsible choices and goal setting. Curriculum and training are provided.

SKILLS

___ Psychology/Counseling: Bachelor's or Master's Degree Preferred

___ Understand and use appropriate HIPAA, HITECH, and Ethical Guidelines

___ Good verbal, reading, writing, and math skills

___ Experience with youth and young adults (12-24)

___ Meets background verifications requirements

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Supervised by the Executive Director

1. Assist in collection of screening and demographic information for/about/concerning clients

2. Use social skills-based curriculum to guide discussions with individual and small group

3. Deliver participant orientation

4. Documents services according to agency and contractual requirements

5. May coordinate or provide follow-up and input correspondence or phone contacts.

6. May attend planning meetings or briefings with funders or contracted entities.

QUANTITY OF WORK:

Hiring for part-time with shifts one or more days weekly. Shifts range from 2 - 8 hours, which include planning, preparation, direct service, and reporting.

TRAVEL:

Services are delivered virtually on site in Chino, or in San Bernardino. Per diem for travel may be allotted.

QUALITY OF WORK:

Meets Code of Ethics and Policies of Advantage Public Institute and standards established by funding sources and other gate-keeping entities. Service delivery is culturally aware and trauma responsive. Quality of work documentation is accurate, legible, timely, and without spelling errors.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 8 per week
