Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in a psychiatric setting, including corrections facility medical clinics and acute care environments. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage patient behavior, and effective communication with both patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient observations and monitoring to ensure safety and well-being.
• Assist in the administration of psychiatric care under the supervision of nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
• Implement behavior management strategies as directed by healthcare providers.
• Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide support and assistance to patients during daily activities, promoting independence and recovery.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

Skills

• Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in behavior or condition.
• Proficient in patient monitoring techniques within psychiatric settings.
• Knowledge of psychiatric care principles and practices.
• Experience working in corrections facility medical clinics or acute care environments is preferred.
